The National Time and Frequency Standards Laboratory in the Republic of China was established in 1965. Its founding purpose was to support the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection under the Ministry of Economic Affairs in response to the needs of national industrial development and sustained economic growth. The laboratory's primary objectives are to establish and maintain the highest national standards for time and frequency, ensuring consistency and accuracy in time and frequency measurements. This alignment with international standards provides a basis for domestic measurement and calibration traceability, aiming to facilitate industrial advancement and enhance the level of scientific and technological research.
